Sicily, the island at the southernmost point of the Italian mainland, has the perfect climate for tomatoes. The members of the Libera Terra cooperative cultivate tomatoes using a dry farming method. They grow the tomatoes on land confiscated from the Mafia by the Italian authorities and process them into whole peeled tomatoes in a jar. No preservatives, no additives. One jar contains 600 grams of tomatoes.
Unopened, the tomatoes in jar can be kept at room temperature for at least 24 months after the production date. After opening, store in the refrigerator and consume within a few days.
