If you don’t like bits, you can strain the lemon juice through a fine sieve.

In a pot, stir constantly and bring sugar, lemon juice and about 50 ml water to a boil. Continue simmering for about 5 minutes while watching, until the syrup thickens slightly.

Remove the pot from the heat and let the syrup cool well.

Now mix the remaining water with the syrup.

Pour the liquid into ice molds using a measuring jug and leave about one centimetre from the rim so the ice can expand while freezing.
6.
Optionally place a lemon slice in each mold as decoration.
