Note: Handle turmeric root carefully, as it can leave stubborn stains, e.g., on the countertop. If something does spill — baking soda removes the stains best. Kitchen gloves help prevent stains on the hands.
For our version we prefer to use almond or cashew milk, as these tend to enhance the flavor of the spices rather than cover it up.
