Baru Nuts
Organic
Brazil
These roasted Baru nuts are wild-harvested from the Cerrados in south-eastern Brazil. Our partner processes the nuts entirely on site in the small town of Jussara in the state of Goiás.
Baru nuts have a flavour reminiscent of peanuts with notes of cocoa and coffee. The local people call them cumbaru, which means black diamond. They are delicious on their own, in muesli or salads and are also suitable for baking.

Storage & shelf life
Store nuts and seeds in a cool, dark place in a tightly closed container. Make sure that the container is as airtight as possible so that moisture is kept away from the nuts. You can also freeze nuts and seeds, which will extend their shelf life by several months.
