This high-quality olive oil comes from three small producers: La Pianore, La Permalosa, and La Torre alle Tolfe. Supported by the project Oliveti biodiversi, they cultivate their olive groves with a focus on sustainable production and biodiversity.
Their biodiversity measures include:
- Building and restoring dry stone walls
- Mowing meadows between the trees in stages
- Promoting specific plants that serve as food for caterpillars of rare butterfly species
- Encouraging insect populations through plant diversity
Storage & shelf life
The bag-in-box packaging protects it from oxygen and oxidation. This ensures a shelf life of up to 18 months from bottling. Use the oil directly from the box’s tap—decanting may reduce its shelf life.
