These peanuts come from family farmers in the Samarkand, Tashkent and Kitab regions of Uzbekistan. Our partner Pakka processes them entirely on site immediately after harvesting.
The peanuts are roasted and salted. They are crunchy, have a distinctive roasted flavour, a strong salty note and the sweetness typical of peanuts in the finish. Ideal as an aperitif, as a topping for salads or as an ingredient in curries, soups and unusual dessert creations.
We are testing peanuts from Uzbekistan as an alternative to our peanuts from Nicaragua. We may therefore contact you with a questionnaire about the quality of the peanuts.

Storage & shelf life
Store nuts and seeds in a cool, dark place in a tightly closed container. Make sure that the container is as airtight as possible so that moisture is kept away from the nuts. You can also freeze nuts and seeds, which will extend their shelf life by several months.

Grown by 352 family farmers on an average of 0.5 hectares in the Samarkand, Tashkent and Kitab regions of Uzbekistan.
Cultivation
Organic, no irrigation, harvested by hand.
Processing
Peeled locally, processed in Germany. 100% of employees in processing have employment contracts, wages correspond to the minimum wage or better.
Purchasing & Logistics
Purchased from importer, collaboration since 2010. Transport: lorry to Hamburg to the processor, lorry to Embrach/Singen.
