Whole Cane Sugar
Organic
Brazil
The whole cane sugar comes from the northern part of the Brazilian state of Paraná, produced and ground into powder directly on-site.
We source this sugar from the Copavi cooperative, which is part of the Movimento dos Sem Terra – the Landless Workers' Movement. A key goal of this movement is agrarian reform, aiming to redistribute agricultural land to those who work in agriculture but do not own land.
Founded in the 1980s, the Movimento dos Sem Terra has organized land occupations, protests, and other actions to pressure the government into implementing policies for agrarian reform.
