Shelled wild walnut halves harvested near the village of Arslanbob in the Kyrgyz highlands. Around 800 families gather the nuts from the woodland - the largest natural walnut forest in the world. The nuts have an aromatic, tart flavour with a hint of sweetness and a creamy finish.

Storage & shelf life
Store nuts and seeds in a cool, dark place in a tightly closed container. Make sure that the container is as airtight as possible so that moisture is kept away from the nuts. You can also freeze nuts and seeds, which will extend their shelf life by several months.
