40 years of the Banana Women - and now?

40 years ago our founders, the Banana Women, asked people on the street: Have you ever wondered why bananas are so cheap? A lot has happened since: the courageous women have become a nationwide movement

But has trade really become fairer as a result? We think not. Therefore, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the action of the banana women we are taking to the streets and calling on food companies and politicians to commit more strongly to greater justice.

Meet us on October 18 at 10:30 a.m. in Frauenfeld at the Sämannsbrunnen, right in front of the town hall, and ask with us: Who earns how much from the bananas?
