Due to the warm, very humid spring, farmers across the country are suffering from massive crop failures; almost all crops are affected. Our fig producers were lucky: in the mountains the climatic conditions were significantly better than in the lowlands. Their harvest quantity has only decreased slightly compared to the previous year.
Because of the lack of figs on the market, we also had to buy our fruits at higher prices and therefore adjust our selling prices. Turkish farmers benefit from the higher prices.
