Assorted box containing 6 kilos of oranges, 3 kilos of grapefruits, 2 kilos of lemons and 2 kilos of Hass avocados. The citrus fruits come from family farmers in the south of the Peloponnese, while the avocados come from the island of Crete. When sorting the citrus fruits, the families do not adhere to pointless standards for colour, shape and size.
The citrus fruits may therefore be large, small, scarred, misshapen or speckled. Among the oranges and lemons, there may well be green ones, as colour says nothing about their ripeness. Only the juice content and their flavour are what matter.
In this way, family farmers can sell more of their harvest than would be possible under standardised trade practices. And with our fruit, you can discover the full diversity of nature.

Storage & shelf life
Citrus fruits
When stored in a cool place, citrus fruits will keep for around four weeks. If you store the fruit on the balcony or terrace, protect it from frost by covering it with a blanket or placing it in a polystyrene box. Check your fruit for bruises and minor damage upon receipt. Eat these fruits first. If you spot any mould, remove the affected fruit.
Avocados
When stored in a cool place in the vegetable drawer of the fridge, the fruit will keep for around 10 days. Store the avocados you intend to eat soon at room temperature in a paper bag together with apples. As soon as you can press the flesh in slightly, the fruit is ripe. Check your avocados for bruises and minor damage upon receipt. Eat these ones first. If you spot any mould, remove the affected fruits from the box.

Grown by 60 family farmers on an average of 1 hectare in the Argolida and Aitoloakarnania regions of Greece.
Lemons
Grown by 20 family farmers on an average of 0.46 hectares in the Argolida, Attiki and Korinthia regions of Greece.
Grapefruits
Grown by 17 family farmers on an average of 1 hectare in the Argolida and Ilia regions of Greece.
Avocados
Grown by 20 family farmers on an average of 1.2 hectares in the region around the city of Chania on the island of Crete.
Cultivation
Organic, irrigated fields, harvested by hand.
Processing
Sorted by hand, never repackaged and packaged without plastic. 100% of employees have employment contracts, and wages are at or above the minimum wage.
Purchasing & Logistics
Purchasing directly from harvest via our partner Anyfion since 2013. We hold a 20 per cent stake in Anyfion.
Transport by lorry to Patras, ship to Ancona/Venice, lorry to our distribution warehouse.
