Fresh Meyer lemons. This variety is a hybrid between a lemon and an orange and is less sour than conventional lemon varieties. Meyer lemons are also characterised by their rather round shape and orange colour. Depending on when they are harvested, however, the colour of the lemons can also tend more towards green or yellow.

Storage & shelf life
Stored in a cool place, lemons will keep for about four weeks. If you store the fruits on the balcony or terrace, protect them from frost with a blanket or in a polystyrene box. Check your lemons for bruises and minor damage as soon as you receive them. Eat these ones first. If you find mould, remove the affected fruits.
