Thoroughly wash the ginger and turmeric (if used).

Without a blender: grate the roots over a fine grater. Press the oranges and lemons with a juicer into it. Add the pepper. With a blender: juice the oranges and lemons and put the juice together with the remaining ingredients into a countertop blender. Purée everything at the highest speed.

Now strain the liquid through a sieve and pour it into a bottle. The ginger-citrus shot keeps for at least 5 days in the refrigerator.
