Hazelnut butter
Organic
Georgia
Roasted hazelnuts from the Samegrelo region in western Georgia, constitute the exclusive ingredient of this nut butter. It has an intense hazelnut aroma and a slightly sweet flavour with rich roasted notes. Ideal for adding to muesli or porridge, for baking, or for use in sauces and dressings.
The nuts used in the spread are sourced through our partner Pakka, who buys them directly from 200 family farmers in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Kakheti regions of Georgia. Pakka cracks, shells and roasts the nuts entirely locally, thereby creating jobs and generating income in the region.
Pakka also supports family farmers by providing specialist knowledge and technical expertise in all aspects of organic farming. Pakka also supports family farmers by providing specialist knowledge and technical expertise in all aspects of organic farming.
We process the shelled, roasted hazelnuts from Georgia into a purée in Germany and pack them into 500-gram jars.
