These organic cocoa nibs are made from roasted organic cocoa beans sourced from family farmers in Togo. They have an intense chocolate aroma and a bold cocoa flavour, with a hint of bitterness and a touch of fruity acidity in the aftertaste.
What are cocoa nibs?
Cocoa nibs are small fragments of roasted cocoa beans. They make a great topping for porridge, fruit salads, and baked goods like cakes and bread. They can also be used in sauces—there are virtually no limits to creativity here.
Why are the cocoa nibs from Togo not organic?
Although we use organic cocoa beans for the nibs from Togo, because the gebana Togo team currently produces the nibs locally in very small quantities, they are not officially certified organic and we have to sell them as a conventional product.
